Predictions

Linear Regression

Using linear regression, I can predict that I will reach 1,000,000 photo views 76 days after I started on June 24 which is on Wed Sep 08 2021. This method works by fitting a line of best fit to the data and then finding the x value where the line of best fit crosses the y value of 1,000,000.

Last View Increase Method

Using the last view increase, I can predict that I will reach 1,000,000 photo views 72 days after I started on June 24 which is on Sat Sep 04 2021. This method works by finding the last increase in views and then finding the x value where the slope of the line passes 1,000,000. The idea behind this method is that, because I add more photos over time, the most recent change in views will likely be the most accurate predictor of future views.
